ConFetch Plug-ins are site and server blocking plug-ins for TreeWalk DNS "Hawk" version 8.21 ((minimum)) that offer protection from objectionable domains by resolving their filtered names to your computer's local 0.0.0.0 address. You can even choose your own filtering level from one of the many installer programs which are designed to incrementally increase your block list's size, or even customize it further with "ConFetch PRO, LSE or Ultra". †

After all, it's YOUR computer or network and you should be able to block anything you want if it helps to stop unscrupulous web sites from connecting to you, right? Well, thanks to the incredible TreeWalk Personal DNS Caching Server program you can use any of the ConFetch Basic through LSE versions to help you do that with Windows 2000 or XP 32-bit Microsoft Operating Systems. ConFetch Ultra is the only version that runs on both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows platforms and is currently the only version capable of running on Vista (with UAC disabled, that is).

ConFetch Plug-ins were created to implement DNS hostname filtering with current version(s) of TreeWalk. This means that you won't be able to connect to a filtered site, and so, they may not be able to connect back to you. You can optionally blacklist additional sites of your choice with ConFetch or cautiously whitelist filtered domains so that you can connect to them if they're blocked. You can even turn ConFetch off completely and just use TreeWalk with the built-in "ConFetch Toggler". TreeWalk DNS is a Domain Name Server program which fetches and converts Web Site human-readable names into the numbered addresses your computer needs so that your browser, email, instant messenger, and FTP programs can surf the Web. For Microsoft Windows® XP/2000/.NET and 2003 workstations or servers. You can obtain a copy of the program by using the TreeWalk link provided on the left side of most pages on the ConFetch site. *

You can use TreeWalk and ConFetch to:

Block advertising scripts known to originate from other servers
